The RHA’s eleventh National Lorry Week (NLW) launched today (Monday 3 November) kick-starting its annual celebration of the people and businesses that keep Britain moving.
The campaign – which runs until Sunday 9 November – also focuses on showcasing the sector as an aspirational career choice for young people and others looking for a new challenge.
The RHA pitched up at member, Fagan & Whalley in Padiham, Burnley where young people were put through their paces in the Association’s driving simulator van.
The van will feature at other events across the country this week as the RHA continues its mission to inspire the next generation of would-be drivers to get behind the wheel of the UK’s trucks.
The campaign – which is themed: ‘Driven By You’ in recognition of the amazing job people in the sector do every day – also shines a spotlight on its unsung heroes. The RHA encourages people to nominate their ‘Lorry Legends’ who will feature this week on the campaign website and RHA socials.
